September 11th: Westchester County honors 9/11 illness victims with new memorial

Westchester County has unveiled a new memorial dedicated to the rescue and recovery workers who have died of  September 11th-related illnesses, reports Eyewitness News, WABC

A private dedication ceremony was held for families of those on the memorial was held on September 10, 2021, with a public unveiling on September 11th.

The new memorial at the Kensico Dam Plaza, near The Rising, the 9/11 memorial, is a series of granite stones bearing the names of the Westchester residents who have died due to their World Trade Center-related illnesses.
