9/11 organization to pay off mortgage for family of killed Savannah Police sergeant

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation will pay the mortgage of Savannah Police Sergeant Kelvin Ansari, who was killed in the line of duty.

Big-hearted Port Authority cop Brian Cooney (and Yankees fan) sparks late-inning rally that helps Mets legend Ed Kranepool get a new kidney

Port Authority Police Officer Brian Cooney, a long-time blood donor, decided to donate a kidney to a stranger, starting an organ donation chain that ultimately gave a kidney to Mets player Ed Kranepool. 

“Because of the time I was at Ground Zero and with everyone getting sick, I feel extra lucky to be able to give something back. It’s a blessing,” Cooney said.

Police & fire patches wanted for boy with brain tumor

A five-year-old named Jackson has been diagnosed with DIPG, a rare and incurable brain tumor. He loves firefighters and police officers, so IAFF Local 274 are asking for patches or any other department paraphernalia to make Jackson smile.
