Team Shamrock getting ready to break ground for local vet’s ‘smart home’

Team Shamrock, which was founded to honor Don Robertson, Jr., who was killed on 9/11, is preparing to break ground on a “smart home” for Belmar, NJ veteran Scott Nokes, who lost both legs and his sight from his service in Afghanistan.

John G. Chipura Blood Drive set for Saturday; grateful young recipient to greet donors

Donors at this year’s John G. Chipura Blood Drive will be greeted by a special guest. John Hudson Dilgen, 16, suffers from epidermolysis bullosa (EB), an excruciating skin condition that requires monthly blood transfusions. He will thank donors and show them firsthand how their blood helps people.
