With 42K followers, ‘Quarantine Kitchen’ creators to appear on Rachael Ray: ‘We created a source of joy and kindness when we needed it most’

A Staten Island mother and daughters started Quarantine Kitchen as a way for their friends and family to cope with the pandemic. Forty-two thousand followers later, they’re selling a cookbook and appearing on TV to benefit the FF Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Grand opening of ‘JumpShotz’ hoops gym brings hope to youth sports, small businesses on S.I.’s South Shore

Danielle Ramos, 12, has won first prize in the elementary-school category of this year’s Andrew Stern Memorial Essay Contest for her essay comparing the terrorist attacks of 9/11 to the crisis of COVID-19.
