NYPD Sergeant Francis “Buddy” Murnane, who never took a sick day in 42-year career, dies

The NYPD’s longest-serving active officer, Sgt. Francis “Buddy” Murnane, who was weeks from retirement, has died. Murnane had an apparent heart attack at home. He was 62, and had served 42 years in the NYPD without a sick day, wrote ABC News.
