Middletown Public Library honors local residents

The Middletown Public Library is holding a gala on October 29, 2021 to mark its centennial. They’re honoring some local citizens and companies, some with September 11th connections, reports Carly Baldwin of the Middletown Patch.

Whirl Construction will receive the Business Generosity Award for their work on many community projects, in particular their work on the Middletown WTC Memorial Gardens.

Christine Giordano Hanlon, Esq. will receive the Historic Preservation Award for her work on the Monmouth County, 9/11, and Its Aftermath Exhibit Advisory Committee, for which she commissioned a film marking the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

More information about the gala can be found here.
