Danielle Ramos, 12, has won first prize in the elementary-school category of this year’s Andrew Stern Memorial Essay Contest for her essay comparing the terrorist attacks of 9/11 to the crisis of COVID-19.

Among the 40 bereavement groups offered by Stephy’s Place in Red Bank, NJ, is one for those people mourning family members who died of COVID-19. The groups are customarily in person, but are virtual at present.
