Fil-Am 6th-grader wins Andrew Stern 9/11 Memorial Essay Contest

Danielle Ramos, 12, has won first prize in the elementary-school category of this year’s Andrew Stern Memorial Essay Contest for her essay comparing the terrorist attacks of 9/11 to the crisis of COVID-19.

The contest is sponsored by the family of Andrew Stern, who was killed in the World Trade Center in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The family received more than 700 entries this year, reports Inquirer.net.
