Families who lost loved ones to COVID find solace at Stephy’s Place grief support groups

Among the 40 bereavement groups offered by Stephy’s Place in Red Bank, NJ, is one for those people mourning family members who died of COVID-19. The groups are customarily in person, but are virtual at present.

Stephy’s Place founder, Sheila Martello, understands the unusual aspects of grieving in the pandemic — no funeral, for instance — as she lost her husband in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, reports News 12 staff.
