Beyond Brussels: 8 cities were attacked by terrorists in March

Some terrorist attacks garner much more attention than others. Tanvi Misra of CityLab reminds us of seven other terrorist attacks this month.

In addition to the Brussels’ bombings on March 22, 2016, ten people were killed and 30 injured by suicide bomber in Shabqadar, Pakistan on March 7, 2016; on March 13, 2016, gunmen killed 22 people on the beach in Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast; also on March 13, 2016, a car bomb killed at least 37 people in Ankara, Turkey; at least 15 people were killed and 30 injured in a March 16, 2016 IED explosion on a bus in Peshawar, Pakistan. Also on March 16, 2016, two suicide bombers killed 24 worshippers in a mosque in Maiduguri, Nigeria; four people were killed and more than 30 injured in a suicide bombing in Istanbul, Turkey on March 20, 2016; and gunmen killed 27 and took more than 100 people hostage in Bamako, Mali on March 21, 2016.
