New NYPD Counterterrorism canines named for fallen officers

NYPD News reported on March 23, 2016, that eight new NYPD Counterterrorism and their officer partners graduated from training at the Police Academy.The new teams will patrol well-populated areas to detect explosives.

All of the dogs have been named for an officer killed in the line of duty. The families of many of these officers watched the ceremony.
