Work to resume at long-stalled Greek Orthodox church destroyed on 9/11

Work should soon resume on the long-stalled building of the replacement for St. Nicholas’s Greek Orthodox Church in Lower Manhattan. The original church was destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

NY Governor Cuomo announced the Friends of St. Nicholas, a new not-for-profit organization that will help the church rebuild to meet its September 11, 2021 deadline, reports Denis Slattery for the New York Daily News.
