Uncle and niece share the Broadway stage in ‘Come from Away’

“It’s so crazy!” Emily Walton told Barbara Hoffman of the NY Post. “Not only are we both on Broadway, but we wound up in the same 12-person show!”

Emily and her uncle Jim Walton are both now in Come from Away, the musical set in Gander on September 11, 2001 where thousands of people stranded when their planes were grounded were looked after by the residents of the small towns in the area. Jim just joined the cast to play multiple roles including Nick. Emily had toured with the national company before joining the Broadway cast.
