Work begins on Watchung (NJ) 9/11 Memorial; donations sought

Construction on the Watchung 9/11 Memorial began on April 25, reports Alex Parker-Magyar in the Echoes Sentinel.

Organizers hope to dedicate the new memorial on September 11, 2017, the 16th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The memorial honors all the 2,973 people killed in the attacks including Watchung residents Christopher N. Ingrassia, 28, and Honor Elizabeth Wainio, 27.

The Watchung 9/11 Memorial Committee hopes to raise $60,000 to offset construction costs. They are selling memorial pavers here.
