USS Arlington Change of Command

There is a new commander aboard USS Arlington, the ship honoring the 184 people murdered at the Pentagon and aboard Flight 77 during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Captain Eric S. Kellum relieved Captain Christopher “Chowdah” Hill as commanding officer in a mid-Atlantic change of command ceremony.

“I could not be more excited and humbled to take command of the ‘best damn ship in the Navy!’ The crew is motivated, professional, and the ship looks great and is firing on all cylinders! Arlington has an incredible mission and capability, and is at the forefront of ensuring our competitive advantage in the high end fight,” Captain Kellum told Petty Officer 2nd Class John Bellino.

Captain Hill’s next assignment will be a staff position atNaval Air Force Atlantic.
