As Gander plans to mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11, a question remains: who can come?

The people of Gander have plans to mark the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, but COVID travel restrictions mean they have no idea whether anyone will attend, reports Garrett Barry for CBC News.

Gander’s mayor says that attendance at the memorial event could be 350 or 2,000, a huge difference for such a small community.

Fully-vaccinated Americans may enter Canada at this point. Travel restrictions are meant to ease on September 7, 2021.

The town’s memorial service will be streamed online.
