U.S. says it has unlocked iphone without Apple

The Justice Department has announced that it had found a way to unlock the iPhone of the San Bernadino terrorist without Apple’s assistance, so it has withdrawn its legal case to force Apple to assist in their mass-shooting investigation write Katie Benner and Eric Lichtblau in the New York Times.

The case has sparked national debate about privacy and security issues. Now new issues are sure to arise in that discussion.
