Approximately 850 police officers responded to the riots at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, where they faced hours of hand to hand combat and other dangers. Sixty-five officers were injured, some permanently, and one was killed. Two others have killed themselves since that day.
They’re all dealing with frightening memories.
