Biden administration aims to close Guantanamo Bay Prison

The White House has announced that President Biden plans to close the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center in Cuba.

Forty people are currently being held there, including the five men being tried for conspiring in the September 11th terrorist attacks, reports Dustin Jones for NPR.

National Security Council spokeswoman Emily Horne told reporters that the security council will work with the State Department, Justice Department, and Defense Department in finding a way to close the prison.
