Tremont native becomes ‘father figure’ via Tuesday’s Children, teaches patience and compassion to FDNY 9/11 child

Through Tuesday’s Children, Brian Harrison, a man with no children, has mentored Bradley Walz, 23, since 2007, attending his ball games, bar mitzvah, and other special events, as well as spending time together generally. Walz lost his father, FF Jeffrey Walz, in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Harrison told Jason Cohen of the Bronx Times,  “Two of the greatest things that ever happened to me was meeting my wife and meeting Brad through Tuesday’s Children.”
