Three World Trade Center recovery workers to be grand marshals for Veterans Day Parade

New York City’s 2016 Veterans Day Parade will have three very special Grand Marshals this year, reported the New York Post Editorial Board.

They will be FDNY Battalion Chief Joseph Duggan, who responded to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center and also served with the Army Reserve in Iraq; Port Authority Acting COO Stephanie Dawson, an Army National Guard colonel who commanded troops at the World Trade Center site and served in both Kuwait and Iraq; and NYPD Detective Nelson Vergara, who worked for months with the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center after the attacks and then served with the Marine Corps in Iraq.
