Boston College will honor 9/11 hero Welles Crowther with red bandanna uniforms vs. Clemson

Welles Crowther, a securities trader who was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, is better known as “The Man with the Red Bandanna”. Crowther, 24, an alumnus of Boston College, gave his life helping others escape the South Tower, reports Dakota Randall of NESN.

During the Boston College game against the Clemson Tigers on Friday, BC players and coaches will wear red bandanna-themed uniforms. Red bandannas will be given to fans attending the game.

This is the second time, the college has worn red bandanna’s to remember their teammate.  The last time, the bandanna theme helped Boston College beat USC 37-31.
