Survivors are making more VCF claims than recovery workers for the first time

This year’s World Trade Center Victim Compensation Fund Report shows that for the first time, survivors of the attacks (which includes lower Manhattan residents, students, and workers) are making more claims than rescue and recovery workers, the Daily Broadsheet reports.

It has long been assumed that survivors, residents, and Lower Manhattan workers and students were unaware that they were eligible for the VCF, but this year’s report shows that outreach to these groups has been at least partially successful.
