Street named in honor of Andrew Stern, killed in 9/11 terrorist attacks

After years of denials and waiting, the Stern family has a street renamed for Andrew Stern, who was killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Andrew’s younger brother Michael decided to get a street named for his brother in time for the 20th anniversary of the attacks, and on February 27, 2021, his mission was accomplished, as Lynbrook’s Robertson Road was renamed for Andrew.

More than 100 people attended the unveiling of the sign, reports Tom Carrozza for the Long Island Herald.
