Stony Brook’s WTC wellness program gets $60M federal grant

The federal government will give Stony Brook University’s World Trade Center Wellness Program $60 million over five years. The program treats survivors and rescue and recovery workers with health problems caused by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, reports David Olson in NY Newsday.

The university plans to use the funds to pay for operations and infrastructure costs. The program is scheduled to move to a larger clinical space in Commack next month.
