Sprinklers tampered with at site of Harlem movie set blaze that left fireman dead: lawyer

The sprinkler system had been tampered with at the Harlem building where Motherless Brooklyn was filmed. A fire on that set on March 22, 2018 killed FDNY Firefighter Michael Davidson.

Davidson’s widow, Eileen, is suing the landlord, the city, and director Edward Norton’s production company, as are residents of the building.

Report showed that the fire sprinklers did not go off during the blaze, though photos taken by the production company show the sprinkler system was intact, reports Priscilla DeGregory for the NY Post.
