September 11th Remembrance Day bill approved by CA Senate Education Committee

California state Senate’s Bill 254 has been unanimously approved  by the state’s Senate Education Committee. If passed, the bill would encourage public elementary and secondary schools to observe a moment of silence every September 11th (when the day falls on a school day), reports Gold Rush Cam.com.

Senator Borgeas, the sponsor of the bill, also represents the California 9/11 Memorial in Clovis, where a ceremony is held each year on teh anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
