Retired NYPD cop, injured on job and suffering 9/11-related ailments, can’t get full disability pension

Graham Rayman writes in the January 13, 2016 issue of the New York Daily News about retired NYPD Detective Sara Salerno who has attempted to get full disability pension from the Police Pension Fund for eight years.

Salerno, 46, has World Trade Center-related lupus and respiratory ailments and has a serious on-the-job knee injury that is not 9/11-related.
