Post-9/11 vehicle barriers stopped car in Capitol ramming attack

The recent attack on the United States Capitol that killed Capitol Police Officer William Evans and seriously injured another officer, was stopped by a vehicle barricade erected after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The retractable metal barrier south of the corner of Constitution Avenue and Delaware Avenue stopped the car of Noah Green who had rammed his car into the officers, report Jordan Fischer, Nathan Baca, Mike Valerio of WUSA9.
