Jan Walker from Knoxville, Tennessee is running across America in honor of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, writes Mike Sackley in KTAR.com.
Walker began running in Oceanside California on March 1, 2016, and plans to end her trip in Ocean City, Maryland, after visiting the Pentagon.
She hopes to raise money and awareness for the 9/11 Memorial Trail. The Trail, in progress, now, will connect the three sites attacked on September 11, 2001 — New York City, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
