NYPD Detective Paul Federico, who fought for fellow officer’s benefits, dies from suicide

NYPD Detective Paul Federico has killed himself. He was found on February 17, 2020.

Detective Federico helped NYPD Officer Michael Dorian get funds for treating his World Trade Center-related illness in 2018.

Ten NYPD officers commited suicide in 2019. Detective Federico’s death is the first police suicide for New York this year, reports NBC’s David Ushery.
