Moore’s John Pleszewicz wins annual Robert Curatolo scholarship

John Pleszewicz, 17, has won this year’sĀ Robert Curatolo Scholarship Fund Scholarship.The son of an NYPD detective, he names his grandfather, retired FDNY Lieutenant James Fleschner as his hero.

The scholarship is named for FF Robert Curatolo, who was killed in the line of duty while participating in the rescue efforts at the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 reported Charlie De Biase Jr. in theĀ Staten Island Advance.
