Marty Egan’s children appreciate 10th race honoring dad

Sean Egan, 20, and his sister Kerry, 18, are grateful for the chance to honor their father at the tenth annual Capt. Martin J. Egan, Jr. Memorial Run held last week on Staten Island, reported Jim Waggoner in the Staten Island Advance.

“We’re really happy we’ve been able to do this for 10 years. Hopefully we’ll be able to do it for 10 more years, ” Waggoner quoted Sean Egan.

FDNY Captain Egan was 36 when he was killed while responding to the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
