Local animal shelter to honor Rosa Maria Chapa, killed during 9/11 attacks

The Homeward Bound animal shelter in Blackwood, NJ has named their feline room the Rosemary Chapa Memorial Room in honor of Rosa Maria “Rosemary” Chapa, who was killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the Pentagon.

Chapa’s daughter, Grace Ellis, arranged for the honor because of her mother’s championship of animals, reports KYW Newsradio.

Rosemary Chapa was a civilian employee for the Department of Defense on September 11, 2001.
