Jillian Suarez has been sworn in as an NYPD officer. When she was nine years old, her father, Ramon Suarez, a 16-year veteran of the NYPD, was killed in the line of duty while responding to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
She told PoliceOne, “‘I grew up with my father walking in and out of the house with his uniform constantly on and I always admired him for that…he truly loved his job.'”
