Last night, the second annual Heroes for Heroes Run gave hero sandwiches and beverages to Staten Island hospital workers, EMS workers, firefighters, and police officers.
Staten Island’s J&J Towing Company organizes the event, which features tow trucks displaying flags.
“We started it last year when people couldn’t go out,” Juan Serrano of J&J Towing Company told Kayla Simas of the Staten Island Advance. ”We got together and started delivering heroes and drinks to the EMS, FDNY, precincts, and hospitals, as a thank-you from the community.”
