HBO documentary explores 9/11 through lens of high school students

In the Shadows of the Towers: Stuyvesant High on 9/11, a new documentary about the terrorist attacks told through the eyes of students from the high schools surrounding the World Trade Center, will air on the evening of September 11, 2019 on HBO, reports Jillian Morgan for Real Screen.

The 35-minute film focuses on eight Stuyvesant High School alumni from different boroughs and different backgrounds. Amy Schatz is the filmmaker.

In the Shadows of the Towers: Stuyvesant High on 9/11 airs on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 9:00pm ET/PT.

Another of Schatz’s documentaries, What Happened on September 11, a short film for children, will be shown on HBO at 6:00pm ET/PT on the same night. This film is a short introduction to the attacks intended for children, produced in association with the 9/11 Tribute Museum.
