Former Pittsburgh air traffic controller recounts 9/11

Recently, at an event in Pennsylvania, retired air traffic controller Mahlon Fuller spoke about his day on September 11, 2001, when he was working in the control tower of the Pittsburgh International Airport. Unusually, radar reports showed a plane headed directly for the airport. It turned out to be United Flight 93, reports Deana Carpenter for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Fuller now speaks often about the passengers and crew of Flight 93, calling them ” 21st-century minutemen.”
