FDNY fireboat John D. McKean that served on 9/11 to be relaunched with new mission after Rockland repairs

The Fireboat John D. McKean, which served NYC during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 is currently under repair, reports Rochel Leah Goldblatt for the Rockland/Westchester Journal News.

Hull repairs are underway.

When work is finished, the boat will become a floating museum, if supporters can raise sufficient funds.
