Blank slate: what will finally rise on the last World Trade Center site?

The Port Authority and Lower Manhattan Development Corporation have put out a request for proposals for the parcel of land bordered by Washington, Albany and Greenwich Streets south of the World Trade Center site, the former home of the Deutsche Bank.

The site is currently used by the Port Authority’s Police Command Center.

Whether the land will be sold for commercial or for residential purposes remains to be seen, reports Carl Glassman for the Tribeca Trib.

The deadline for proposals is September 20, 2019. A two-to three-month period for choosing from the proposals received is expected.
