Denise Henick is director of administration and the charitable fund of Stop and Stor on Staten Island and has given millions to worthy causes. She has been named NY1’s New Yorker of the Week by the channel, writes Pat Kiernan for NY1.
Ms. Henick lost her father when she was only 10, and lost her brother, PO James Leahy, in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
“I know about struggle. Growing up, it was…my family and I, through tragedies, had a difficult life,” she told NY1.
