Closing of Market Lane deepens the food void at World Trade Center

Recent restaurant closures leave the World Trade Center complex with very few sit-down restaurants.

Nearby Brookfield Place’s restaurants are doing well, and there are, of course, restaurants elsewhere in the Financial District, but the World Trade Center has mostly “grab and go” eateries, reports Steve Cuozzo for the NY Post.

Prospective deals with Hawksmoor Steakhouse and a new restaurant from the backers of Eleven Madison Park, both of which were supposed to open in Four World Trade Center, have fallen through.
