Captain Christopher Hill, former skipper of USS Arlington, praises connection with community

U.S. Navy Captain Christopher “Chowdah” Hill, who commanded USS ARLINGTON for 18 months, up until last month, discussed the special bond the ship’s crew has with the people of Arlington, VA.

“There’s something special about this ship,” he told the audience at the Arlington Historical Society’s annual dinner.

ARLINGTON honors the 184 people killed on 9/11 when Flight 77 was flown into the Pentagon. Many of its current crew were not born at the time of the September 11th terrorist attacks, reports Scott McCaffrey for Sun Gazette Newspapers.
