Developer Sharif El-Gamal has found “Sharia-compliant financing” for a new apartment building and three-story Islamic cultural museum on the site where he had formerly planned to build the center that the media dubbed the “Ground Zero mosque” reported Lois Weiss in the New York Post
The new project will located at 51 Park Place, the same site.
Sharia-compliant financing means that the financing is in agreement with the many Islamic laws concerning loans.
