Memorial to victims of Boston Marathon bombing completed

The Boylston Street memorial to those killed in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing has been completed. It consists of three stone pillars, one each for Lingzi Lu, 23, Martin Richard, 8, and Krystle Campbell, 29. There are two bronze plaques to honor the two police officers killed in the ensuing manhunt for the bombers, Boston Police Officer Dennis Simmonds and MIT Officer Sean Collier.

Cherry trees will bloom at the memorial in April, the month of the attack, reports Philip Marcelo, for the Associated Press.

Sculptor Pablo Eduardo designed the memorial which sits at the bombing site on Boylston Street.
