A Flatbush street corner at Flatbush and Flatlands Avenues has been named for FF William Gormley, who died last year of World Trade Center-related lung cancer, and who grew up on the street, report Ellen Moynihan and Leonard Greene of the New York Daily News. FF Gormley worked at East Flatbush’s Ladder 174 as well, making the tribute especially fitting.
FF Gormley, 53, left a widow, four children, and a wide circle of family and friends.
