Special Master Rupa Bhattacharyya announced that the Victim Compensation Fund began payments Monday on Group B claims after funding became available on October 1, reported TN News Service. Now approximately 500 more rescue and recovery workers sick from their work in the aftermath of the the September 11th terror attacks are closer to receiving assistance with their catastrophic medical bills.
