9/11 Memorial World Trade Center

Rendering of 9/11 Memorial

The 10th anniversary ceremonies will open the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center site. The ceremony is limited to victims’ family members and will follow the same program as previous years. Six moments of silence will mark when each building was hit, when each tower fell and recognize of the attacks at the Pentagon and Shanksville, PA. The Tribute in Light will begin at sundown and remain on throughout the night.

Families of victims of the attacks will see their loved ones’ names memorialized in bronze at the World Trade Center site as the 9/11 Memorial is unveiled. To locate the name of your loved one, please visit the kiosks on the site or www.911memorial.org. Family members chosen by lottery will read the names this year, including the names of Pentagon, Flight 77 and Flight 93 victims.

For updated information about the ceremony, please visit our website at www.911families.org. To visit the Memorial after the 11th, please call the Family Line at 212-266-5201.
