WWII veteran rescued in Puerto Rico

Rosario Mariano, a 93-year-old World War II veteran trapped by Hurricane Maria in a partly-collapsed house in Puerto Rico has been rescued by an FDNY firefighter, reports Fox5NY.

Mr. Mariano was trapped since Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico on September 20.

James O’Connell worked with the mayor of Corozal and National Guard soldiers to free him.
