WTC Health Program director: half of 9/11 firefighters have lung issues

Dr. Jacqueline Moline, who has worked with the sick of 9/11 for years, disclosed at the June 11, 2019 U.S. House of Representatives’ committee hearing that more than 50% of the firefighters who worked the recovery effort now have “persistent respiratory conditions.”

She also stated that as many as 20,000 more people could be diagnosed with site-related cancers in addition to the roughly 12,000 site-related cancers reported thus far among the 9/11 community, reports Bob Hennelly for The Chief Leader.
