World Trade Center PATH resumes service after bomb scare caused evacuation

The Oculus and its PATH station at the World Trade Center were evacuated on Sunday due to a suspicious backpack left on a train, report Erin Durkin and John Annese in the New York Daily News.

Hundreds of people were evacuated by police from the Oculus after a bomb-sniffing dog signalled that the bag could be a problem, shortly before 3:00pm. After the all-clear was given by the Bomb Squad, train service was restored by 5:00pm.
